Local action for a thriving Sicily

The Sicily Environment Fund is a local initiative dedicated to preserving, protecting and restoring the unique natural and marine ecosystems of Sicily and the surrounding islands. By providing financial support to local conservation projects and grassroots initiatives, it bridges the gap between philanthropy and local action, helping build a sustainable future for the island together.

Why

Sicily is home to remarkable biodiversity, but it is under serious pressure from mass tourism, pollution, climate change and overfishing. Vulnerable ecosystems such as coral reefs, forests and coastlines risk suffering irreversible damage. The Sicily Environment Fund tackles these challenges locally by directly supporting the people and organisations who know, protect and care for the island’s natural environment best.
