By restoring abandoned terraces, protecting local biodiversity and promoting ecotourism, it strives to create a harmonious balance between people and nature in this fragile landscape.
The Amalfi Coast is world-famous for its breathtaking landscapes and steep terraces, but it faces threats from land abandonment, erosion, wildfires and climate change. The loss of traditional farming practices is causing slope instability and the loss of unique flora and fauna. Acarbio is taking action by restoring these age-old ecosystems and reconnecting the local community with its natural heritage.
