A life in freedom and dignity

Animal Rifugio Jill Phipps is a loving and independent sanctuary dedicated to rescuing animals from the factory farming industry, neglect, and slaughter. Named after the well-known British animal rights activist, this refuge provides a permanent, safe space where animals are not seen as products, but as individuals with their own personalities.

Why

Millions of farm animals around the world live in terrible conditions in industrial farming, where their natural needs are completely ignored. Once they are no longer productive enough or get injured, they face slaughter. The refuge exists to give these animals a second chance, share their stories with the world, and show what a harmonious relationship between humans and animals can look like.

Mission & goals

The mission of the foundation is to create a peaceful world where every animal has the right to life and freedom. Their main goals are:

  • Lifelong care: Providing a permanent and loving home for rescued pigs, cows, sheep, goats, and poultry.
  • Medical care and rehabilitation: Treating and caring for traumatized or physically weakened animals so they can recover at their own pace.
  • Education and awareness: Raising awareness among visitors and followers about the reality behind the animal agriculture industry and promoting a plant-based, compassionate lifestyle.
  • Animal rights advocacy: Supporting the broader movement for animal rights and giving a voice to the millions of invisible animals in the industry.
Actions
  • Daily care: The team of dedicated volunteers takes care of feeding, medical care, and cleaning the habitats of dozens of residents every day.
  • Construction and maintenance: They create and maintain spacious, natural outdoor enclosures and stables where the animals can run around, dig, and socialize freely.
  • Tours and meet-and-greets: The shelter regularly opens its doors to the public, allowing people to meet the animals in person and hear their unique stories.
  • Active rescue operations: In collaboration with inspectors and other networks, they rescue animals from acute emergencies or from slaughter.

"We can't save all the animals in the world, but for the animals that live here, their entire world will forever change into a safe haven filled with love."

How your donation helps

Your contribution helps Animal Rifugio Jill Phipps directly cover the high daily costs of care. Farm animals, especially those rescued from the industry, often require specialized and long-term medical care. With your support, they can purchase high-quality feed, cover veterinary costs and medications, and build new barns to provide a safe haven for even more animals in need in the future.
