Help end animal suffering.

Animal SOS Sri Lanka is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating stray dogs and cats in Sri Lanka. With over 3 million stray dogs, the organization provides medical care, shelter, and hope to animals in need.

Why

The organization was founded to address the large number of street dogs in Sri Lanka, with limited resources and many animals suffering from abuse and neglect.

Impact

Mission & goals

Their mission is to provide shelter and medical care, vaccinations and sterilization, and to promote responsible pet ownership in the community.

Actions
  • Rescue and rehabilitate: Animal SOS rescues dogs and cats from the streets, providing them with medical care and a safe place to heal.
  • Medical treatments: Physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and surgeries for injured animals.
  • Community programs: Free sterilization and vaccination of animals to control the population.

“Every rescue brings us closer to a world without animal suffering. Together, we can change their lives.”
