After sterilization, the animals were also vaccinated and dewormed before being returned to their territory.

Animals deserve a better future.

Animals Need Me is dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming stray animals in Albania. Their mission is to protect dogs, cats, and other vulnerable animals through shelter, adoption, and education.

Why

In Albania, many stray animals live in poor conditions without access to food, medical care, or a safe shelter. Animals Need Me was established to improve the fate of these animals while also raising awareness among the local population about responsible pet ownership and animal welfare.

Impact

Mission & goals

Animals Need Me aims for a future where no animal is left behind or abused. Their main goals are:

  • Rescuing and caring for stray animals.
  • Promoting adoption and foster care.
  • Providing education on animal rights and welfare.
  • Supporting veterinarians and spaying/neutering programs.
  • Campaigning for better legislation regarding animal protection.
Actions

Animals Need Me runs an animal shelter where dogs and cats receive medical care and food. They also organize international adoptions to give these animals a second chance. In addition, they collaborate with veterinarians for sterilization and vaccination programs and offer educational workshops to raise awareness about animal rights in the local community.

“Due to cultural differences and the lack of animal protection laws, our work has never been easy. It takes perseverance, compassion, and a strong mission to not be forgotten.”
