Guardians of Hope in Peru

Foundation HoPe (Holland-Peru) has been working since 1991 on sustainable change in and around Cusco, Peru. With a commitment to local communities, this Dutch foundation supports underprivileged children and their families through education, healthcare, and social development — with respect for local cultures and a goal of lasting self-sufficiency.

Why

The HoPe Foundation was established after founder Walter Meekes volunteered in the Peruvian Andes and was confronted with the dire poverty and lack of opportunities for children in remote villages. Since then, the foundation has been determined to make a lasting contribution to a better future for the local community by empowering them to take charge of their own development.

How your donation helps

Every donation helps the HoPe Foundation to get children to school, provide villages with clean drinking water, or create a safe space for young people to develop their potential. Thanks to your contribution, local initiatives can continue to grow, and we contribute to sustainable poverty alleviation in the Andes — not for, but with the people there.
