Planting trees for a greener future

Precious Tree Project is a non-profit organization focused on creating indigenous forest areas in the Garden Route. By removing invasive plant species and reintroducing native trees, we contribute to ecological restoration, job creation, and the protection of local ecosystems.

Why

The nature in the Garden Route is under pressure from deforestation, wildfires, and the spread of invasive plant species. This threatens biodiversity and the habitats of native animal species. The Precious Tree Project aims to restore these ecosystems while simultaneously creating social and economic benefits for local communities.

Impact

Mission & goals
  • Restoring forests and creating biodiverse micro-ecosystems.
  • Removing invasive plant species and restoring soil health.
  • Providing employment for local youth and involving communities in reforestation.
  • Organizing educational programs and workshops to raise environmental awareness.
Actions
  • Planting trees: We create bio-inspired forest areas by planting native trees.
  • Removing invasive species: We clear harmful plant species and restore biodiversity.
  • Community development: We provide employment and training programs for local youth.
  • Education and awareness: We organize workshops for schools and volunteers to promote nature conservation.

“Trees breathe for us, so we can inhale their breath to survive. Can we ever forget that? Let’s love trees with every breath we take, until we fade away.”
