Together against land degradation

Lignaverda is a Belgian organization that fights against land degradation and desertification in Africa. Through reforestation, social entrepreneurship, and local collaboration, they are building resilient ecosystems and strong communities. Their approach is scientifically based and aimed at creating sustainable impact for both people and nature.

Why

Lignaverda was founded in 2009 (originally as Entrepreneurs Without Borders) out of the necessity to combat desertification in Africa. Climate change, overgrazing, and soil degradation threaten the livability of large areas. The organization aims to reverse this by planting trees, restoring soils, and empowering communities.
